We still have room in our master classes in Portland, Maine!

The Maine Lobster Council is offering you a chance to go out on a Lobster Boat and experience a harvest. There are three time slots available: Wednesday, June 22nd at 2 p.m. and at 3:45 p.m. The third availability is Friday late afternoon, June 24th time TBD.

Guittard Chocolate is also offering you an incredible experience with their chef, Josh Johnson who will give you tips on teaching chocolate as well as offering hands on experiences in the pastry kitchen. This will be offered on Wednesday morning, June 22nd, from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Each experience costs $25. And if you are not attending the Deans and Directors Retreat on Wednesday, June 22nd, you could do BOTH EXPERIENCES: Morning a chocolate class and afternoon a lobster boat trip!
There are still seats available for these experiences, though there is a 20-person limit on each. To register a Master Class, click here.
ANNUAL CONFERENCESThe Good News: We have folks coming in from all over the U.S. to participate, lead a discussion, and/or share their experiences.
The Bad News: The hotel is almost sold out! Let us know if you would like a recommendation for another downtown hotel which would still allow you to take the CAFÉ bus to/from the host college.
We hope you can come! The three days promise to be enriching as well as stimulating.
We have updated our Agenda for the Deans & Directors Retreat and Leadership Conference on our website, go to CAFE-Events for more information.

THE AWARD WINNERS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED!
We appreciate the work that educators went through to submit an application in the fields of technology, entrepreneurship, green/sustainability efforts, community outreach, as well as educator of the year.
The Awards Committee spent hours going over the applications and were hard pressed to pick just one winner. We applaud and appreciate the work that is going on in our culinary education world. Please! If you did not “win” this year, consider applying another year.
Winners will be announced and recognized at the Awards Ceremony, June 22nd.
Well done!
