29 November 2021Chef Amanda Miller, CSC, CPC, WCSC, a Chef Instructor at Culinary Institute of Michigan (CIM) Muskegon, is one of eight contestants on the Netflix series, School of Chocolate. The series features world-renowned chocolatier, Amaury Guichon, as he mentors eight top pastry chef talents. Each competitor is hoping to take their work to the next level, but only one will win, “Best in Class,” and a prize package that includes a career-changing opportunity. Note, while School of Chocolate is a competition, no one is eliminated each episode.
In addition to her role as Chef Instructor at the CIM, Chef Amanda also is the president of the American Culinary Federation’s West Michigan Lakeshore Chapter. A Muskegon, Mich. resident, Chef Amanda is a veteran of the U.S. Army and CIM graduate with associate degrees in both Baking and Pastry and Culinary Arts.
Amanda was the CAFÉ 2020 Postsecondary Educator of the Year award winner. Congratulations Chef Miller!

Chef Profile: Career Path Insights is a new Gold Medal Classroom feature focusing on professional chefs from various facets of the foodservice industry from healthcare to food science. Industry culinarians will answer questions delving into their views on current foodservice developments and how culinary students can find positions within their industries.
