Hotel Deadline—San Antonio

The CAFE Deans and Directors Retreat will be held in beautiful San Antonio, March 2-4, 2018. Our hotel block is The Drury Hotel on the Riverwalk.

Quoted from Trip Advisor:
“The location was perfect, walking distance from almost everything and buses to missions and botanical garden stop near Drury, strong WIFI, very good breakfast and kickback at 5:30, beautiful hotel and the staff was amazing, definitely returning.”

Our room block will be held until January 28th. And our first Meet and Greet event on Friday night will include going to a restaurant on the Riverwalk and enjoying a short river cruise!

Meet the Presenter—Alexei Rudolf—on the Innovations Panel in San Antonio

Alexei Rudolf webAlexei is often called “Chief Storyteller” by clients of his marketing and PR consultancy, Foodservice Connections, LLC. He loves the challenge of weaving together a story from the threads of chefs, trend researchers, farmers, ranchers and recipes scribbled on the backs of cocktail napkins. From editorial projects to training videos, advertising to social media, public relations to public speaking engagements, websites or webinars, he’s often the man behind the scenes crafting the narrative. Though not a chef, Alexei is proud to speak the language, and wise enough to know he lacks the necessary chops, tats and stamina to work in a kitchen. Turns out there are other things you can do with your Bachelors degree in Religious Studies from The Colorado College.

One of the most “out there” intersections of technology and foodservice is without a doubt the world of 3D printed food. It’s actually real, not science fiction! Alexei will share what pasta maker Barilla is doing with 3D printed pasta, and where it might be headed.
