CAFÉ Update March 6, 2023
06 March 2023As part of CAFÉ’s Leadership Conference, we are offering two opportunities for instructors to be in the kitchen for a few hours of hands on instruction.
June 21, from 1-4 p.m., attendees (each class limited to 20) can choose either one of these pre-conference classes.
The cost is $25. You will receive Continuing Education Hours for the experience, which we promise will be fun as well as geared to your experiences in the classroom. Registration is now open for the Master Classes on June 21.
Carving
Did you know 100% of watermelon is edible? In addition to edible, watermelon makes an attention-grabbing centerpiece. Join us and learn from Chef Patrick O’Brien, the Carving Ninja, for his hands-on Garde Manger Master Class. Although watermelon will be the star, attendees will learn techniques to carve multiple items.
Class size is limited to 20.

Chocolate
Join Guittard Chef Josh Johnson on June 21, 2023 for a hands-on master class as he teaches techniques for creating elevated chocolate tea sized pastries such as eclairs, chocolate financier, mendiants among other delicious items.

Conference Information
Sign up today for the Deans & Directors Retreat and/or the Leadership Conference which will be June 20/21-23, 2023. You can ask to be invoiced. You will receive continuing education hours. You will experience wonderful food as well as stay in the midst of beautiful downtown Charleston, SC.
