CAFÉ Update September 25, 2023
25 September 2023Our CAFÉTalks Podcasts can be great learning opportunities for your students. We recently received a note from Maureen LaSalle, with Southern Maine Community College. She gave her students an assignment to listen to a hospitality podcast. She provided them with a list of choices including the CAFÉTalks Podcasts.
One of her students chose CAFÉTalks Podcast and listened to episode #63 – Chefs as Diplomats, featuring, Christopher Weissberg, Member of French Parliament. Maureen wanted to share her student’s response with us.
Student Response: “I would definitely listen to this podcast again to learn new information about the culinary and hospitality world. I found this episode to be extremely informative and I will hold on to the information given for future use. I am now considering traveling the world to learn new ways to cook and eat!”
Maureen also wrote:
“Thank you for providing great learning opportunities for my students.”

An outline of something that you have introduced to your classes which could benefit others in how they reach out and cover the necessary guidance that students are looking for.
Next year’s theme will be “Invent the Future.”
What have you done that you could pass on to other instructors…whether secondary or postsecondary applications.
We would like to hear from you: a title, a brief outline, and your contact details, including a short bio.
